Aims
The bachelor's degree in physics introduces students to the scientific methods of this subject. Bachelor students are taught the experimental approach as well as the mathematical tools, the necessary techniques in dealing with computers and the model-based theoretical approach. Students are also taught basic knowledge of the most important areas of physics. The programme focuses on training students in working on physical problems independently and in teams. Solid foundations are laid for further training in the professional environment and for advanced mathematical and scientific studies. The bachelor's degree in physics at the University of Vienna is equivalent to the corresponding degree courses at other universities in Austria and in the area of the Bologna Agreement (Europe and beyond).
