Completion of the master physics - master thesis is written in the other subject
Please hand in your complete record of examinations at the SSC Physics after the completion of the master section of your Physics studies, as well as your student record sheet and transcript of records.
Your second teaching subject is responsible for the issuing of your master examination certificate after the completion of your master examination.
Completion of Studies
The following documents (except for the record of examinations) must be submitted to the SSC Physics 2 weeks in advance of the master's examination:
- complete record of examinations along with the latest transcript of records (U:SPACE) (at least 3 weeks before the master's examination; please submit it via e-mail; for numbers use comma (,) instead of period (.); at least 3 weeks in advance of the master's examination)
- printout of "Survey at study-related stays abroad" (UHSTAT) - fill out the form and submit it, even if you did not go on ERASMUS or Non-EU Student Exchange!
- master's thesis
- confirmation of the positive evaluation of the master's thesis
- registration form for the master's examination (personal consultation with the examination committee before submission)
The master's examination is a public defence of the master's thesis including an examination on the scientific field of the thesis as well as an examination covering another subject. Master's examinations are held on-site.
The public defence includes a 15-minute presentation of the thesis, as well as questions about the thesis and a further examination subject, which is to be chosen from another field of Physics.
After successful completion of the master's examination, the final documents are delivered via e-mail within four weeks. If you need them printed out, please let us know.
